On the coast of central Norway, the Atlantic provides strong currents and high tidal range, ensuring an abundance of fresh, clean seawater. It's here, in one of the most beautiful coastal landscapes in the world, that we make one of the best ingredients in the world – Salmon: Made by nature, pioneered by Måsøval.

Led by the third generation of the Måsøval family, we now produce more than 25,000 tonnes of salmon a year, serving 2.6 million people – every single week, year round. And even though we've already achieved a lot, we're still hungry for more sustainable growth.

The Måsøval Story

It all started in 1972, when net pens and freezers were built. In the following year, 1973, Edvin Måsøval founded the company Måsøval Fiskeoppdrett AS, together with his sons Bjørn and Karsten. Since then, we have been involved in building and developing four of Norway's biggest aquaculture companies. Click below to read all about our history.

75% of Måsøval employees have invested in the company

Employees in Måsøval want to become shareholders in their own company. 75% of the workforce and the board of directors have bought shares in the company. “This is an important vote of confidence, and we are humbled and proud. This will glue the organisation even closer together,” says Lars Måsøval.
